A decontamination is designed to take off all the stuck-on dirt and debris that won’t come off from a maintenance cleaning. Think brake dust, hard water spots, and tree sap. All this gets thoroughly removed with a decontamination.

Maintenance washes do a great job of preventing debris from bonding to your clear coat and causing a bigger problem in the future. In other words, the more consistent you are with maintenance washes, the less often you’ll need to decontaminate.
